Introducing Arterton: The Masters of Wardrobe Care

DESIDERATA (noun.): something to be desired, from mid-17th century Latin.

Arterton define themselves as a London-based design atelier of sartorial and lifestyle "desiderata". They have rapidly achieved a reputation for supplying the finest hangers, garment bags, shoe care and wardrobe care products to an international private clientele, in addition to the majority of Savile Row tailoring establishments.

Handmade hangers by Nakata

Their exquisite cotton covers and wooden hangers can be personalised with your monogram, allowing you to care for your own desiderata with quality and style.

Arterton's "Signature" garment bag

The Arterton "Signature" garment bag was developed for the sartorial enthusiast, integrating a number of special design features to create the ultimate, luxury suit carrier. It employs a unique double-zip opening to ease the struggle of inserting and removing garments.

Unique double-zip opening

The bag is produced in a 10oz double waxed cotton, which has been coated with natural paraffin oil. This adds to the durability, protective features, and aesthetics of the bags, which age naturally and uniquely to their circumstances.

The waxed cotton provides a water-resistant finish

The bag is offered in a range of five colours and the embroidered monogram can be applied in a variety of fonts, using a contrast coloured thread or tone-on-tone. Two bag sizes are available, accommodating up to three suits.

The "Signature" colour options

English bridle-hide straps can be added - again in a number of colours - allowing you to travel in comfort and style.

Arterton are passionate about protecting apparel, and providing peerless products to care for their client's clothes. Their number one tip for preserving the condition of fine tailoring is to invest in good hangers, and the company turned to Nakata in Japan to satisfy this need.

Nakata handcrafted hangers

Nakata has been crafting high-end hangers using traditional Japanese tools since 1946. Today, they continue to merge traditional and modern production techniques to create the world's finest hangers.

Crafted from European beechwood

Due to the individual manner by which each hanger is produced, the level of contouring imparted on the neck and shoulders of the hangers preserves even the most delicate of garments and encourages their breathability.

Meticulous attention to detail

Nakata hangers represent the pinnacle of Japanese woodworking. Even the faintest hairlines of grain are taken into consideration. The end result is craftsmanship that is simply astounding.

The personalised Nakata hanger

In addition to garment covers and hangers, an exquisite range of shoe care products are available from Arterton. The collection of brushes, creams, and cases to contain them, are supplied by Paul Brunngård, a company founded by Madeleine and Per-Ola Brunngård in Sparsör, Sweden in 1983. They offer a whole new generation of shoe care, traditional yet with a modern twist.
