First registered on 25th August 1987, this V8 Volante was ordered new in the desirable and rare combination of Vanden Plas Blue coachwork with Parchment hide piped Navy blue and automatic transmission

One of just 216 Volante models fitted with the ‘V585’ fuel injected engine (EFi), this well-maintained example retains comprehensive service records dating back to the early 1990s which show annual maintenance by marque specialist Desmond Smail from 1994-2000 with invoices totalling in excess of GBP 50,000 throughout that period

In 2000-2002 the chassis benefitted from replacement sills and rear jacking points, replacement Mohair hood and rebuilt gearbox by specialists GTC Engineering with invoices totalling GBP 11,000

During the period 2003-2009 the Volante was regularly maintained by marque specialists Goodwood Green (who later became Aston London) and invoices on file show that the car continued to be cherished without regard to expense

Acquired by the current owner in 2012, a private UK based collector with a lovely collection of European sportscars, the Volante has continued to be enjoyed by him and maintained to the same excellent standard as before under the previous stewardship

Throughout the vendors nine year ownership the Volante has been serviced by respected specialists Aston Engineering, Nicholas Mee, Aston Service London and most recently Pugsley and Lewis in February 2021. Works completed by P and L included an annual service, new high efficiency starter motor, steering geometry setup, air con re-gas, new bonnet struts and some other service items at a cost of GBP 3800

Offered today in excellent condition and ready for immediate spring/summer open top motoring, this desirable ‘EFi’ Volante is fitted with its original Blaupunkt Bremen stereo and is accompanied with extensive and well documented service records which include almost every MoT certificate from new (supporting its current mileage of 73,000) and original owners handbook
