1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage
Location: United Kingdom
Built in 1966 and delivered in 1967 to its first owner, this highly original and rare example of the DB6 Vantage is equipped and remains in its ‘as built’ specifications of Goodwood Green with Tan VM846 hide interior. Supplied when new with Vantage engine and manual 5 speed transmission, Chrome wire wheels, heated rear screen and 3 eared wheel spinners. The specification as retained to the present day.
A matching numbers example, the original Vantage engine was rebuilt to 4.2 litres by R S Williams in the 1998 and has covered less than 10k miles since. Additional to its annual servicing and maintenance, chassis restorative works were carried out in 2005 by recognised Aston Martin Specialists.
Of the limited number of DB6 built (1,300), some 25% were manufactured with Vantage specifications. The number of DB6 Vantage’s built in RHD is recorded as 268, of which some were equipped with automatic 3 speed transmissions. This rare and charmingly original, manual transmission Vantage we are delighted to be offering, is accompanied by a superb history file containing MoT certificates from 1985, photographs of chassis restorative works, service and maintenance invoices. Other documents included, confirm a short stay in Florida USA, where the car enjoyed a short stay being entered into concours events, before being repatriated to the UK in 1985 where the car has remained since.
Last supplied by ourselves to a UK based collector, this rapid and well maintained DB6 Vantage has been regularly driven and housed in ideal conditions over the last 4 years.
Supplied fully prepared and serviced to schedule, this well looked after, powerful and unspoiled example of the practical DB6, is a delight to drive and would be at home on any grand tour or concours event.
