Within this car's history file are receipts of costly work, while it lived in Florida with Dr Carmelo Smeralda, confirming that this example has benefited from much care and attention over the years. In addition to the expected regular maintenance and servicing, in 1997, whilst the car was in Sarasota, a cosmetic touch-up was started, including new windshield, front and rear bumpers, front and rear lights and new carburettors. The Spider was repainted red by one of its owners in the United States. In 2015 the car was sold to a collector in Warwickshire who started a complete restoration, by late 2019 over £23,500 had been spent on the car via well-known specialists Classic Alfa, Fisher Restoration, Marque Restore and OKP engineering. In 2020 the car was near completion, and was sold to our client, who finished the restoration, a new cream leather interior was fitted with new carpets.
